Starcraft 2 Launch Live in London

Ok we are here live at the London launch for Starcraft 2. The queue was short when we arrived at 7pm (GMT), we managed to grab a few spots close to the front of the queue. Close enough to lean on the shop front still. Speaking with the guys at the front turns out they got here at 10am!

I took a stroll inside the store to speak with the staff. Turns out you should grab a receipt from the till to reserve yourself a copy. At the front of the store there’s alot of construction still going on for some sort of starcraft stage.

We’ve rejoined the queue now, thanks to some fellow gamers holding our spot.

9:10pm – A screen has gone up outisde showing a realtime countdown. 2hours 50minutes to go

9:46pm – The queue is much longer now stretching round the block.

10:40 – The ‘booth babes’ have arrived, handing out loads of freebies.

11:24 – We’ve been let inside, the queue system has broken down, crazy drunk guys off the street somehow are infront of people queuing for hours.

11:34 – Serious cosplay.

12:00 – Midnight Speech form Blizzard.

12:16 – Signing and hand shaking.

01:45 – My Copy, signed.

And that it guys, we are out.

Starcraft 2 Midnight London Launch or Preload?

Midnight queue's or preload from the comfort of your home?

Starcraft II is almost here, and you’ve already decided you’ll be playing this game non-stop for the foreseeable. But have you decided how you’ll be buying the game? With the option to pre-download via the super power that is Blizzard, order online from your favourite retailer or venture out into the heart of London’s Oxford Street for the midnight launch (no Steam for this game I’m afraid) there is plenty of choice.

Well if you can’t decide, or just too lazy to queue up like an Apple fan boy for an iPhone launch, then sit back and watch this space. Two of Gamdo’s very own reporter’s will be on-site tomorrow (26th July 2010) to report and photo the midnight launch. If you want to meet us there check out the full details on Blizzards London launch page here, then head on down to Game on Oxford Street, then send us a tweet when you’re there. We will be the two guys, hopefully at the front of the queue. My life for AIUR

Limbo Walkthrough Guide – Stuck on Xbox Indie hit Limbo?

Ok Limbo is tough. Real tough. And if you don’t like spider’s, then you will find it even harder! Limbo has a HUGE spider, arachnophobia sufferers will NOT like this game, WARNING! Apart from the spider, making it through this summer of arcade hit is still mad difficult, so I’m posting up a few walkthrough’s. Here are a few of my antics in Limbo so far, more are coming, check back here and on my Youtube page for more as I upload them.

Above : This is an easy achievement, Wrong Way, just go left as soon as the game starts! Simples.

Above : Here you need to go backwards to go forwards, drag the crate back to the trees!

Above : Taking out the spider is tough, and scary! The trick is to get the spider to bang the ground a couple of times, this drops the bare trap, go back for it, push it towards the spider and do some damage! Watch and learn spider slayers.

Above : Part 1 of the water puzzle! Easily solved

Above : Part 2 of the water puzzle.

Above : More water puzzles, the trick is not to let too much water through!

Above : Children who play with glass houses, erm, what is the saying?

Above : Go left first, and watch your head.
